I went to the San d'Orian Consulate in Ru'lude Gardens (Jeuno) and spoke to our Ambassador. I was given an Archducal Audience permit and told to see the Archduke of Jeuno in the Grand Duke Palace. Obviously, I did as I was told - this was going to be very important.
The Archduke explained that the beastmen are trying to help the Shadowlord by collecting a rare and special material known as magicite. He asked me to get the magicite from the beastmen to prevent them helping the Shadowlord. The magicite could be found in Davoi, Beadeaux, and Castle Oztroja. He presented me with a letter to Aldo, leader of the Tenshodo and asked me to deliver it to him. I located Aldo in Neptune's Spire Inn in Lower Jeuno (J-7 on the map), unfortunately, I was denied entrance to the Tenshodo headquarters since I am not a member. I decided I needed to become a member and set out to do so.

A friend of mine told me I'd be needing a Davoi Crest to get past the wall of Dark Arts in Davoi and obtain magicite. He mentioned a boy named Baudin in Upper Jeuno and told me to talk to him. I ventured to Upper Jeuno and found Baudin (G-8 on the map).
