Friday, July 29. 2005Azimuth Circle
Over the last few days I participated in a great Sunbreeze Festival event called Azimuth Circle. I talked to one of the Moogles hanging out in Port San d'Oria and learned of the new event. To participate, I had to have a partner.
 None of my linkshell members were around so I just started shouting for for anyone who was looking for a partner. Eventually I found someone and we both talked to the Moogle.In this game, the Moogle told me in what direction my partner can find a checkpoint. At that checkpoint was a compass telling my partner where I should go for another checkpoint. At my checkpoint, I also found a compass that directs where my partner should go. Using my help, my partner had to find the final checkpoint and retrieve a doll there. I had to do the same while my partner directed me. After we both found dolls, we exchanged them and then traded them to the Moggle who gave us a prize. At first I got an Elvaan Gilet (swimsuit top) then I went to South San d'Oria and did the same thing there (alot harder there though) and received Elvaan Trunks (swimsuit bottom). I decided I'd venture out a bit and go to Bastok to try the event there. In Port Bastok, I received an Elvaan Gilet +1! Then in Bastok Mines, I got Elvaan Trunks +1! These are great as they reduce the chances of clamming incidents and increase clamming results respectively. I hope to try clamming soon and these will certainly come in handy! Finally, I went to Windurst and tried the event. There I was rewarded with Chocobo tickets. They'll come in handy when I have to rent a chocobo at one of the Crags. They can be so super-expensive there! In all, the Azimuth Circle event was a great way to celebrate summer and even meet some new friends along the way.  Comments

Wow! Thanks Chris. 129 entries in my whole journal here (so far) and you spent your time to comment on a single spelling error (of a made up word no less).
I guess it's too bad spell-checkers don't come stock with the word Moogle, or that I haven't added all the FFXI terms to my user dictionary. Anyway, I appreciate the comment. I've fixed the offending Moggle and repalced it wiht teh rihgt speling now.  Keep up teh good wrok Kris!
