With all the necessary key items in hand, it was time for me to set out to obtain the magicite I'd been
commissioned to get by the Archduke of Jeuno. I knew that no matter where I went, there would be beastmen capable of knocking me out with only a few blows. Even as a level 39 White Mage, there was no way I could battle these monsters on my own. My Sneak and Invisible spells were going to be my most valuable assets for this mission. With that in mind, I equipped myself with anything that would help my mind and magic.
Imagining the
Davoi magicite to be the easiest to obtain (since I had some familiarity with that area), I made the trek to there first. From the entrance of Davoi, it was a fairly short trip to the
Monastic Cavern where I could find the magicite. I found the entrance at G-7 on the map, but it was guarded by a couple of heavies. Since I couldn't activate the Wall of Dark Arts to enter the cavern while invisible, I waited until the guard's backs were turned and removed the invisibility. I quickly activated the wall with the
Davoi Crest and I was in!

Once in the cavern, obtaining the magicite was easy as there were no Orcs around. I grabbed the magicite and warped back to
Jeuno.

The next stop was
Castle Oztroja. I'd never been there and I imagined this task would be a measure harder than Davoi. To get to the
Altar Room (where I could find the magicite), the map showed I'd need to open a couple brass doors. The first one was not a problem. The second one however, was closely guarded by a couple of Yagudo that didn't look all too friendly. I knew I'd have to have perfect timing and speed to duck in under their watchful eyes, so I sat invisible until both had their backs to the door. I swiftly removed my invisibility and used the
Yagudo Torch to open the door. The doors closed and I was safe in the Altar Room - or at least I thought...

To regain some of my magic, I decided to stop and rest just beyond the door. That was a bad decision as it turned out. The Yagudo must have sensed my presence because both rushed through the door and beat me senseless. Knowing there was a limited possibility that anyone would find me there, I warped back to Jeuno to recover from the incident.

The second time through, I followed the same course as the first. This time, I didn't rest past the door but instead continued on until I found the magicite. Once I grabbed it, I warped back to Jeuno with the hope of not having to visit that castle again soon.

The final stop was
Beadeaux. I got there quickly and in a short time, found the entrance to
Qulun Dome (I-7 on the map) where the Quadav kept their magicite. I didn't have any problem getting in with the Quadav
items I had. I grabbed the magicite and returned to the Archduke of Jeuno.

For my effort, the Archduke awarded me an airship pass. With this pass (much like the
Kazham Airship pass) I am able to freely travel between Jeuno and the other nations via airship. This will greatly reduce my travel time and expense!

The Archduke must have been happy with my performance as he doesn't give these passes out to just anyone.
At the San d'Orian Embassy in Jeuno, I was rewarded with 10,000gil and Rank 5! This was a very proud moment for me. Before I was able to pat myself on the back, I was ordered to return to San d'Oria immediately - it seemed something had happened there... ...possibly with the King.
What have I been doing lately? Good question! Actually, I've been running around gathering items and doing some cooking. As a Beastmaster, I need food for my pets. It gives them some health and it rewards them for jobs well done. I needed stuff to make
