Since the
Sunbreeze festival is in full effect again, Azima (the master alchemist) created new compasses and started Azimuth Circle II. This time, she made the event a little more challenging by holding it outdoors and reducing our job levels to one. It wasn't enough that we had to rely on our partners for directions to the checkpoints
last time, now we have to watch out for beastmen too!
In South San d'Oria I wasn't able to find any of my friends around so, like last time, I started shouting for a partner to team up with. Eventually I found and one and we both got a compass and a device to warp us back to San d'Oria from the event Moogle.

In seconds, we were teleported to Konschtat Highlands. My partner knelt down to get a good read on her compass and found the direction I needed to head. I did the same for her and we proceeded taking turns running and checking our compasses until we found our checkpoints.
Azima, the crafty devil she is, tried to trick us adventurers by placing many checkpoints somewhat close to each other. It fooled us a couple times and we had to start the event all over. Eventually, we both found small dolls, traded them to each other and then to the event Moogle after we had warped back to San d'Oria.

Our reward was a yukata (I got an Otoko yukata actually) which is actually a pretty cool garment. It dispenses a very reckless firework called Muteppo that propels an explosive charge at high velocity, which eventually explodes in a burst of firey color. Many adventurers have already been accidentally hit by these dangerous fireworks from the far east but I have to admit they are pretty fun anyway!
After getting the Yukata, my partner and I decided to try the event again. e talked to the Moogle while wearing our new shirts and seeing that we'd already completed the event once, the Moogle gave a little more challenging version of the event.

After receiving the compass and device to warp us home, we found ourselves in Tharongi Canyon. Instead of showing the direction my partner needed to travel, my compass now showed only the number of yalms (distance) to here checkpoint. We decided it was easiest for one of us to stay put while the other one walked around looking for the checkpoint. I found a safe location the watched the compass while telling her how far away from the checkpoint she was. After we found a rhythm, it became easy and in no time, she had found her checkpoint. Unfortunately, it was night time and a poltergeist found her at the checkpoint and knocked her out with a couple hits.
We tried it again using the same strategy and this time we were successful. We both traded the dolls to each other and then to the Moogle as before and were rewarded with a high-quality version of the yukata (I got an Otokogimi yukata to be exact). This garment also dispenses a firework but it is much safer than the Muteppo. This firework, called Datechochin, makes you look like a fiery lantern with a big tongue for a few seconds. It's really kind of fun to use both at the same time and run around as a firey lantern shooting crazy starbursts everywhere.

After we were done, my partner and I were tired to we parted ways and I went back to some leisurely fishing!
