Learning the ways of the ninja takes great patience to say the least. I've spent so much time running around Norg in an effort to learn secrets of ninjitsu from the Tenshodo that live there. Much of the knowledge of ninjitsu "magic" is written on scrolls and the pirates of Norg have had me running all sorts of errands to get access to these scrolls.
It's Not Your Vault

After I asked his help in learning the way of the ninja, a pirate by the name of Keal asked me to enter one of the Tenshodo vaults that had been taken over by the Sahagins (Sahagin are a race of aquatic creatures who reside in the Sea Serpent Grotto, the caves where Norg is located). Keal said there is an iron box there which I should bring back to him. The vault is somewhat deep in the caves of the Sea Serpent Grotto but getting there was not much of a problem when I used my white magic "sneak" spell to make my movement silent.
Once I'd returned the box to Keal, he handed me a a scroll of Tonko: Ichi - the ninjitsu of invisibility!
The Sahagin's Stash

After running the errand for Keal, I met a man by the name of Laisrean who asked me to get an item for him that was also in the Sea Serpent Grotto. This time, I had to travel a bit deeper in the caves and with no map, this became quite the challenge. Eventually I found a secret door and was able to open it using a silver beastcoin I'd found earlier. The door took me through another series of caverns to yet another unmarked door. Through this door I found what appeared to be treasure cave. I rummaged around a bit and eventually found a Sea Serpent Statue. As I started to grab it, a Tenshodo member came from out of nowhere and grabbed my hand. He asked me what I was doing, and being a bit surprised by him and nervous to begin with, I explained the task that Laisrean had given me.

The man seemed to know what I was talking about and apologized for not introducing himself first. He said his name was Ren and that
he had in fact assigned the task I was doing to Laisrean in the first place! Ren said he was the head of personnel in the Tenshodo and that he often tests members by assigning tasks to see of they will complete them themselves or find others to do them. He handed me the statue and told me to go ahead and take it back to Laisrean.

He also assured me that I was not stealing and that while the Sahagin were indeed enemies of the Tenshodo, they had a sort of symbiotic relationship. He mentioned that he'd already cleared it with the Sahagin who was hiding at the back of the cave.
I returned the Sea Serpent Statue to Laisrean and mentioned nothing of my encounter with Ren. Laisrean gave me a scroll of the ninjitsu Utsusemi: Ichi - the ninja technique of creating decoys of one's self!
Even though I've certainly had to do some work to learn just a couple ninja techniques, I am growing confident in that I'm learning important aspects of ninjitsu. I think that with further training, Ninja will be a befitting sub job to my Beastmaster skills.
