After much deliberation, I decided to investigate the
Cavernous Maws I, and others, had seen literally popping up all over the Quon and Midartia continents. I re-entered the one I'd found in Batallia Downs and returned to the past again. There I met Sparkklug and an old friend named Wasper. Sparkk told me how
Garlaige Citadel was a San d'Orian stronghold in the Great Crystal War of the past and that we should see if we could find more information there.

So, we set out through Sauromugue Champaign and eventually made it to Garlaige Citadel. Sparkk was right, the citadel was not the decrepit, ruin of a dungeon that I'd always known it to be. Instead it was a well fortified, well outfitted, headquarters of San d'Orian resistance against the Beastman onslaught. We searched around for a bit and eventually found Randecque, who said we should join up with the Knights of the Iron Ram as soon as possible and gave us red recommendation letters to take to the Captain of the Iron Rams: Mainchelite, in San d'Oria.

Wasper, Sparkkplug and I all agreed that we should see if we could make it to San d'Oria. After all, we knew the path in the present, how much different could it be now that we were in the past? We set out through Batallia Downs, to Jugner Forest. Unfortunately, In Jugner Forest, our path was blocked by fortified fences built by the Orcish hoards. I had always thought Davoi was bad, but here in the past, Orcs had control of half of Jugner Forest! We were forced to find a different route. Fortuitously, another adventurer came upon us and mentioned that many others had found a way around the Orcish barrier.

There were some caves in various parts of Jugner which led to an area called the Vunkerl Inlet. Through the inlet we needed to keep Sneak and Invisible up at all times. There were beasts there even tougher than both Wasper and Sparkkplug (both high level in their jobs). In addition to agressive monsters however, we found some nice creatures such as the Sprites who, as told to us by others we met on the way, were known to cure and and even raise fallen adventurers. This was a truly marvelous place.

Eventually, we'd made it through Jugner Forest and found ourselves in East Ronfaure. Certainly enough, on our way into San d'Oria, we found another Cavernous Maw. In short order, we'd traveled far enough and reached the Sa d'Orian gates. Where we were admitted entry to a wondrously new San d'Oria!

The Kingdom was as I'd never known it before. Still proud an grand by more filled with energy that I'd ever seen. We quickly searched out Mainchelite, the Captain of the Iron Rams in Southern San d'Oria and presented our red letters of recommendation. Mainchelite granted us entry into the Knights of the Iron Ram and almost immediately, we had an assignment to carry out. Things seem to happen very quickly in this time of the Great Crystal War!
