Sunday, March 6. 2005Dry Wind and Hot Sand
My travels took me far from home recently. Joining my new friends, Mistress and Miraan (the Mithra/Galka couple I met in Yhoator Jungle the other day), we put together a loose party on a mission to grab the Altep Gate Crystal and visit Rabao. I met my companions in the Zeruhn Mines near Bastok. From there we made our way through Korroloka Tunnel and on to the huge expanse of the Eastern Altepa Desert.
 At first I thought that the Korroloka Tunnel would be too dangerous to handle. Barely getting in, I was attacked by a Gigas Foreman. His attack triggered an attack by a Huge Spider which linked with a couple more spiders. Needless to say, I was knocked out and my party almost died because of me. I was quite embarrassed. We found someone to Raise me and then we continued through the tunnel to the Eastern Altepa Desert. The danger of the Korroloka Tunnel was nothing compared to what we faced in the desert.
 Never in my life have I seen such a huge open land. It is the Eastern Altepa Desert! There were many Antica creatures that had tendency to become aggressive at sound. We tried to keep the spell 'Sneak' cast on all party members but there were a couple times when it failed.  We made it to the Altep Gate at G-7 on the map and then headed for the Western Altepa Desert. On the way, an Antican got aggressive and attacked our party, Miraan was able to fend it off but Mistress and I were knocked out. We were lucky as White Mages found us both and cast the Raise spell. We made it through Western Altepa Desert to the small town of Rabao. A fine place for fishing I must say!   Trackbacks

Haha! Yeah, I knew this was you! Found your site through POL, saw Latcarf and thought "Was this him?!" Looked, and it is! Huzzah for Rabao fishing, and me and Gooey being the Rusty Masters! >:D
Ahh, yes. Two other great members of our party: Peppito and Gooey. They made wonderful fishing partners in Rabao and Peppito is totaly right! They are the rusty Masters! Not one rusty bucket made it past their fish hooks! Huzzah, huzzah!
