Monday, April 25. 2005The Price of (Bastok) Fame
I realized the other day that I'm not very well known in Bastok.
 I decide it was time to remedy that by meeting the people around town and seeing what I could do for them.  Just like in San d'Oria, there are many people who need the help of an adventurer like myself. It wasn't long before I met some of those people. I helped out Parraggoh and Cornelia with zinc ore, and Powhatan by greeting his guest for him. I sold some more zinc ore to Talib, and looked for Gudav's lost foreman (very unfortunate what happened to him ). I gave Salimah a treant bulb for her lunch recipe, got a brass hairpin for Qiji's wife, got a silver name tag from a fallen comrade of Pavvke, and helped Benita clean her chimney with bomb ash! =OAnd that wasn't all... I got some groceries for Tami and her husband Zelman (meat jerky actually
) and helped Degenhard to keep his youthful appearance. I got approved by Brygid (stylist extraordinaire), picked up some sand bat fangs in Valkurm Dunes for Yazan, gave some slime oil to Unlucky Rat, and honored the Palborough Pioneers for Elki!Needless to say, I have been very busy in the nation of Bastok. It's good to know my hard work is paying off, because I have become known in there. Yes, it's quite a bit of work, but the price of fame is high!
